Woodland Workshops 2012

Hedgerow Basket Making
Have a great weekend in the woods learning all about the variety of natural materials available to weave with and then make a beautiful basket of your own.
March 31st and 1st April
£90 for the 2 days all materials and tools included
Woven Garden Structures
 
Make your own garden structure:  Pyramid plant support; Garden trellis or woven hurdle in this popular one day workshop.
May 19th 10 - 4

Charcoal Making

Learn all aspects of charcoal making from loading the kiln to grading the finished charcoal
June 2 and 3
 9 -7pm
£180 
you can join in all night monitoring of the kiln.
Gate Hurdle Making 
 
 
Come and make a beautiful gate hurdle.
 
Learn how to:
 
Choose your log
Cleave it up
Make mortices and tenons
Put it all together!
Go home with your own hand made gate hurdle!

Xmas Wreath Making

Make your own beautiful Christmas wreath with materials from an English wood.

Moreton Wood is a beautiful 38 acre woodland in Herefordshire sustainably managed for conservation and bio-diversity.  

All the woodland work is undertaken with minimum impact on the flora and fauna of the woodland.  Hand tools are used where possible and a horse is used to do all the logging. 
 
Timber that is removed for the good of the woodland ecology is used to make beautiful, individual hand made products.

Paul and Jo hold educational and fun events in the woodland to share their passion for woodland ecology and traditional woodland management.
